A fun, nostalgic trip to a simpler time. Not much happens, but these guys sitting around talking is infectious and realistic

that's a realy great movie about friendship and the refuse to growing up.

Not much going on but fun for if you like seeing actors before you knew them. FYI, the Mark Margolis in this isn't the Breaking Bad guy, same name only.

The thing about buddy hangout movies is I think they really depend on the audience's desire to hang out with the characters themselves, or to engage in enough specificity that it has redeeming historical or sociological value. This one fails on all accounts.

This movie is set in the 1950s and is a showcase for the struggles that seemed to plague men in their early 20s. The men are likable enough, but they are also pretty dense. This is clearly evident in their dealings with the women in their lives - at different times they men experienced lust, anger, frustration and apathy towards the women. While the men are the focus, the movie does a sneaky-good job at illustrating how hard the women also had it.
