Some will say not enough horror, Christians will say it's blasphemous. It's a spiritual metaphor and a morality tale, and a very good one.
Went nowhere. I kept waiting for something to frighten me as this is billed as a horror, but no.
This is much better than one would expect. It feels very much like the Passion of the Christ but one could even say that it makes that one look like a bedtime story. Filled with dread and supernatural events we follow an unnamed man and his deliberately unnamed son as he is temped by an evil who is trying to stop his divine purpose. Based on some apocryphal book that I haven't read but I liked it very much. The subject was dealt with as much care as possible but I'm sure certain people will be offended. Regardless, this is a story about a father and his son and the path towards or away from evil. A coming of age story so to speak. I liked it a lot.
Strange and cryptic movie. Seems unfinished.
What a ridiculous and bizarre film. Cage as usual playing the same way of acting and the scenarist? - obviously on drugs. Do not waste your time for that socio-experimental rubbish.
