This movie must of been difficult to make from a story by H P Lovecraft. It is dated cgi, but if you are a fan of Reanimator and/or From Beyond, this one could be a gem for you as well. It was hard for me to get through the first 20 minutes but once the story starts to flow, it becomes a pure horror story and nightmare.
Enjoyable and great overall filmmaking, but the B-grade attempt at a Jeffrey Combs main lead just really couldn't hold this together or anywhere in the same quality. Don't know that I'd really watch this again, but it was fun for a one time through.
When this film begin you understand that budget is verry low. But you see H.P. Lovecraft and you put some faith. Despiste special effects are so bad, even from a 2001 movie, the plot seems good. You can feel curiosity. But in the middle of the film, the execution is so bad than multilate every hope that you will watch a good movie. Watch until the end turns a sacrifice. I really don't recomend.
Near perfect Lovecraft movie marred by a weak intro and unconvincing CGI. The environment is spot-on.
