My gosh it’s impressively bad. The story is compelling but the execution is painful to watch and listen to. Let’s hope Kate does not make herself into another cat lady.

Movie poster is misleading, this movie is all about Beckinsale and crying.

Great idea, below-mediocre execution. The story is inspired by real-life events. You sort of sense it, but the narratives outside of the kidnapping feel very out of genre yet somehow cliché. The context requires some heavy acting, and I expected Beckinsale to have the chops for it, but never mind. I couldn't engage with any of it for that matter, the acting or dialogue.
