I usually like mythology/lore stories, but this was strange. The underwater footage and the location are pretty, the mythology/story is kinda okay as well, but the acting, unfortunately, is abysmal in my opinion. Especially Lydia Helen's performance is a bit cringe and hard to watch, she delivers her lines as if she's reading a grocery list or something. I get that she has to seem supernatural and ethereal but it doesn't come across at all. And let's not talk about the fact that the only similarity between this movie and any which version of The Little Mermaid fairy tale is that the supernatural being in this movie is a mermaid.
