I think after “Swimming Pool,” I've had enough of German slasher films for now. This film is yet another lazy rip-off of “Scream,” “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” etc. Unlike its German competitors, however, the film was shot in English with an international cast, which means that well-known actors such as James McAvoy and Isla Fisher appear in it before their breakthrough. But even they can't improve the film's quality. On a technical level, the film is quite bad, even if it's not a total failure. But I can't think of a single compelling reason why anyone should watch “Swimming Pool.” There are so many better representatives of the genre.
