Greenaway does a sex comedy. It's not Carry On Greenaway or Greenaway Pie. It's something different. It's morbid, uncomfortable, somewhat witty, crude and very childish. The humour can be good and often originate from the characters dialogue and not always the sexual situations and the word 'cock', so that was a bonus. It's definetly soaked in Greenaway's usual thought processes of life, death, religion and sex. Is it al just a big posh cock joke? Maybe. But it's a decent cock joke. It paced well enough to be interesting until about half way when it's starts to get tiresome and falls flat. It all becomes a daze and I wonder how these women got here and who exactly these people are. What kind of setting is this? All these women are here for the same reasons. That's the problem, it's not varied enough and can't sustain itself. It's not bad movie as much as something stretched out way too far.
