I only pushed play because of the names Hilly Kristal and Cheetah Chrome
This might be the hokiest way I've ever seen a story of punk told.
Not knowing much about the club CGBG, I went into this with reasonably low expectations. But while this is mainly a puff piece about what I now understand is a rather iconic place in the annals of punk rock, it is still an entertaining film and better than I expected. Good to see Rickman too, tho sad that his role as Hilly Kristal (club founder) was one of his last.
Love how CBGB is included in the finale of Vinyl.
