Michael Douglas is the only reason this movie was even halfway decent. I had heard that this was a fairly good movie - yikes.

“Greed is good.” Oliver Stone’s hard-hitting drama _Wall Street_ is a smart and compelling film about corporate America. The story follows a broker who gets a chance to work for leading Wall Street investor Gordon Gekko, but in order to keep his job he resorts to insider trading. The cast is led by Michael Douglas, Charlie Sheen, and Daryl Hannah, but it’s Douglas’s performance that steals the show. The writing’s pretty good too; although the plot gets a bit confusing at times. Still, Stone’s directing is quite effective at capturing the volatility and erratic nature of the stock market and its effects. The storytelling can be a little weak, but overall _Wall Street_ is a captivating and provocative thriller.
Yes - it is half decen. Also "Money never sleeps".
'Wall Street' makes for an interesting watch, anything to do with the titular financial market is total gobbledygook to me but even I was fairly hooked throughout. The performances of Michael Douglas and Charlie Sheen are top notch, so no surprise it turns out to be very good. I would say that the pacing is not the best, it probably overstays its welcome a bit, though to be honest that's the only thing I have to list under negatives and it's not even a big one. The relatively more energetic ending does do a fair bit to quell any serious run time issues.
