Feels like a fan made version of *Boy Erased* with a horror twist. Very old fashioned script that brings back the repressed lonely gay coming of age era of cinema that i've seen countless times before. This one doesn't do anything new or interesting about it and it's super cliché. The acting and dramatic beats are silly and laughable and while I appreciated the few moments of camp we got, it generally takes itself too seriously for the production values it has. I did root for the romance though so that's gotta count for something. Very hateable villains, one more bullet for the church. The horror aspect is metaphor food and only serves as icing on the cake, it could be excluded from the movie and it wouldn't change a thing in the story. The entity looked really creepy though.

I enjoyed what this movie had to say and enjoyed watching it! It makes a point that even today whem drag queen Rupal exists, not everyone has an easy time with their sexuality. It told a very compelling story that tried to represent how it feels when dealing with a struggle with your sexuality. It can be scary and difficult and the topic is still relevant now, because not everyone decides to come out. It was really good and I liked everything about it and enjoyed that it had a happy ending. It make me think of teen gay movies like Love, Victor and the Love Simon TV show, but it was way better than them. Its not really horror. The horror scary monsters are used to represent how he feels afraid about being gay.

A movie that escapes from the traditional gay romance, with a horror graffiti, debating a theme that within religious families is still a taboo, and others are practiced for being male servants, pure hypocrisy, I liked it, it’s worth watching, it holds you, it’s interesting, a little heavy as it was approached, but it’s worth it.
