DC and CW did it again.. 1st season was quite OK, 2nd - so so, and this one went downhill so fast. Basically you can watch each episode in like 10 minutes (15 max) by skipping useless dialogs about feelings BS. As soon as they enter a dialog mode, just skip ~5 minutes to the end of the dialog and you won't miss anything. Then watch 1-2 minutes of action and repeat...

I´d rather have a made up story for the recast. We live in the multiverse. Just sayin.

2023 TV Shows Ranked --> https://trakt.tv/users/justinnumerick/lists/2023-tv-shows-ranked?sort=rank,asc Season 3 of this show felt like it dialed up the melodrama to 11, giving it the feel of a soap opera. Most of the time it came off as too much, but I also found that it worked pretty well at times when it was focused on the central family drama. The two strongest parts of this show have always been Tyler Hoechlin as a truly fantastic Clark Kent/Superman (and Elizabeth Tulloch playing very nicely with him as Lois), and the core family dynamics. This season more than ever before felt like a family drama that just happens to have Superman as the dad, and I actually quite like that. But it also meant that we don't get a ton of time with Superman doing Superman stuff, so it's a bit less exciting than previous seasons. The recasting of Jonathan stuck out immediately but it only took a matter of minutes before I was on board and didn't even think about it again, so I give the actor and the show props for handling such a big change so well. The acting still isn't the best all around. Hoechlin and Tulloch are great and everyone else falls somewhere between fine and bad. But the biggest glaring issue with this season was the pacing. So much time is spent on Mannheim as the antagonist then right at the end they bring in Lex Luthor and shove a Doomsday plot in the finale episode that they can't even close out. I'm assuming Lex will be the villain in season 4 and they wanted to introduce him here so the transition next season is more seamless, but it throws the pacing way off for this season and the finale felt incredibly rushed. However, I am optimistic moving forward. I am actually on board for the changes to the cast in the next season. If they are able to focus in on Clark/Lois and their family with Luthor/Doomsday as the primary villains for an entire season that is a few episodes shorter, I think we'll get a much more focused story that could be perhaps the best yet. But for now, season 3 had its issues for sure but I really do love this take on Clark Kent/Superman and there was enough here that I liked. 6.3/10 -- Decent
