The writing is getting messy over again. The encounter was so bad
First episode this season I really liked, borderline loved, since it feels cohesive in having most of the scenes build and build in plot momentum of unavoidable war-preparing, with such a sense of unstoppable dread, all to lead to that final fantastic sequence of no-turning-back negotiation. Good stuff. And then I saw next episode's name, can't wait! Also: - Loved that they apparently gonna keep updating the gorgeous intro throughout the season, with last ep's event now incorporated in this one's intro. - Freddie Fox as Alicent's brother brings just the same kind of cocksure smarminess from his _Slow Horses_ character even in different time periods lol. Talk about typecasting.
'The Throne?' 'Yes, the big chair made out of swords.' Best lines to date for Season 2.
Don't pay attention to the criticism, I'm here to confirm your hypothesis that this is perfect.
