This show tackles mental health and trauma in such a beautiful way. You can relate to the characters. Yes, it's not as good as the original show, but it's still a pretty good epilogue. Rebecca Sugar is simply a creative genius. I need more stories told by her!

SUF is probably one of the most unjustifiably hated parts of the franchise. While it does have noticeable flaws with its pacing, character handling, and worse songs overall (sorry not sorry), it’s a natural exploration of Steven Universe as a character. The original series explored his gem side, so of course the next series would explore the aftermath: having to deal with his human side, as well as his crippling need to feel needed in a new era of peace and his declining mental health. It’s not perfect, but neither is Steven himself.
