They are actually not 9 perfect strangers, given that 3 of them are a family and 2 are a couple. That leave us with only 4, where one of them is not there for therapy, and other already knows someone there also. If this was 2 perfect strangers with only Melissa Mcarthy and Bobby Cannavale probably would have been incredible. But this all about the overacting of Nicole Kidman, so it sill leave wondering and falling asleep in so many episodes.
The darling gem of this entire show is Regina Hall. But overall this show isn't necessarily worth a watch.
Unbelievably self indulgent. An excuse for great actors to chew scenery, cry and scream. Like a cross between the worst "dramatic" parts of Sense8 and Intervention. There's no mystery, there aren't any thrills, just David E. Kelley at his humourless, melodramatic worst.
Crazy boring. Each episode put me to sleep.
