Having lived through the era really helps to appreciate this show. I am particularly impressed by the authentic props, down to the ubiquitous four differently colored ringed glasses that we all drank iced tea from in the 60/70s. I also worked at MSFC in Huntsville for a short while in the 90s and even then, some twenty something years later, NASA was still very political.
Marital issues, and some kid accidentally burnt her barbie doll. This is a soap opera that has got me bored... I'll keep on watching, but zzzzzzzzzzzz.
Pretty boring; hope it catches some speed. Don't really understand why they didn't have America losing a bit more instead of making them land on the moon too in the first episode. I was expecting a more skewed alternate history... this just seems to be very similar to other 60's shows except for the fact women are a lot more verbal and less objectified in this reality (in contrast to mad men and others). Guess they didn't have it all that bad back in the day
And that makes _For All Mankind_ two for two in the "episode endings that made me cry" stakes. Given how much of a sap I am, that's maybe not as much of a feat as it sounds, but still: pretty dang good.
