As a Turkish person, I can verify that most of the Turkish stuff in this show is accurate. They used Turkish actors and proper Turkish dialogue which isn't something you see on every show. Even the Turkish songs are VERY well-placed.
Wow Dwight's training really paid off
I found this show very entertaining. Binge-watched it on a Sunday and can’t hardly wait for season 2.
Story is all like "==America, fuck yeah==". With the role of Greer they try to show how biased racist people are reacting different, when they finally meet a "good muslim", and that the religion is not a garanty for violance, but fail miserably some scenes later, when they meet/show "bad muslims". So the overall tone is still muslim=violent/bad and have therefore absolutly no rights and americans are above any doubt. Also the actions of the characters are not always comprehensible. For example:
"Oh, there is a woman getting raped in Afghanistan, while we are sitting in a drone controll center in America. We can't do nothing. Let's bomb the shit out of this village, endanger the women herself and high five after that while laughing." Two episodes later still no consquence for the "pilot" whatsoever.
*facepalm. Or:
"We are following him with distance, so he leads us to his boss. Oh, there is his vehicle on an empty parking lot infront of a big hotel full of windows. Let's aproach the car with guns out."
Getting angry while watching it.
Just finished Season 1. The show is very authentic. From the military and intel side at least. However its very hard to make a series about the CIA and portray the agency and their officers in a good light. I'm not sure if the show was aiming
to have me root for the antagonist but I was sure hoping his arc would have continued.
I definitely liked how it changed pov so it wasn't always from an American standpoint and there was justified reasons for the antagonist. Strong series so far.
