Sigue el trabajo de un grupo de policías y fiscales de Londres. Mientras los primeros investigan todo tipo de delitos y tratan de encontrar a los culpables, sus compañeros en los tribunales se encargan de procesarlos en el juicio, tratando de someterlos con todo el peso de la justicia. El detective Ronnie Brooks vive en el East End londinense, y es amigo y compañero del detective Matt Devlin, quien para su labor como policía se sirve tanto de la fuerza como de la seducción. Natalie Chandler, jefa de ambos, es una madre trabajadora que respalda a su equipo hasta el final. Por su parte, el equipo de la Fiscalía General del Estado (el CPS) está conformado entre otros por el dedicado fiscal James Steel, la joven y voluntariosa abogada Alesha Phillips, y el respetado jefe George Castle, director de la Oficina de Procesamiento en Londres, quien trata de conciliar sus ideales personales con las distintas situaciones y casos que tiene que resolver.

These are extremely well done episodes and especially well acted. However, if you've seen the US version of Law and Order, the episodes will be very familiar because these are all adaptations of the original Law and Order series that ran in the US for 20 seasons. Obviously some situations and/or elements have been changed to suit the UK but the main story is the same. It doesn't make the show weaker but a certain amount of deja vu takes place for fans of the original who have watched and rewatched the older episodes.
I'd like the UK version if they didn't have the attorneys & judges still wearing those ridiculous wigs. Seriously, the UK needs to join the rest of the developed world sometime in the 21st century
