A young, ambitious man goes to Warsaw to become the new managing director of a theater — a role that was recently vacated in dramatic fashion.
Episode 1
A Warsaw theater director commits suicide and his body is found during a performance. A young director from out of town becomes the new manager.
Episode 2
Longtime porter Popieł is unexpectedly sacked. Despite budgetary difficulties, the new theater director decides to go ahead with their opening night.
Episode 3
An inexperienced employee from an external company is hired to replace the porter and causes a lot of trouble. But there are more problems to come.
Episode 4
The show's director breaks a leg. The actors' moods almost end rehearsals. To top it all, the technicians have messed up the dimensions of the set.
Episode 5
The performance is interrupted by the crowd's protest against the production being made with taxpayers' money. A crushing review appears in the press.
Episode 6
The secretary gives the resigned director a stolen report, allowing Marcin to prepare for the hearing at the prosecutor's office.
Episode 7
The theater is reeling from the death of Alina, one of the main characters in the performance. Can they find a replacement just before the premiere?
Episode 8
During a city council meeting, Sterczyński states the need to quickly shut down the theater. The team works on a strategy to defend their workplace.
