I feel conflicted any time I'm motivated to criticize a "day in the life" show like this. It's just rather boring. Each episode is what may be simply 2 characters' layered drama/dynamic in a more complex and compelling series. Just watching people talk about their daily lives isn't really why I watch TV, particularly when it's not shooting for anything deep or witty. After 2 episodes I decided to watch the rest at 2x the speed because I'm not missing anything and I don't plan to remember much if any of it when I'm done.
It has great ideas and discusses multiple aspects of relationships (mainly sex-related aspects), but ideas alone aren't enough to entertain the viewer. Tho if you're a HUGE fan of Joe Swanberg this might surely be your cup of tea.
The last episodes from the third season are the worst.
i love it its like the live action version of an episodic slice of life. great for just turning off your brain for a while and enjoying something simple.
