Han pasado siete años desde que un platillo inusual apareció misteriosamente en el cielo sobre el lago Kiriya. Sin que nadie sepa lo que era este objeto extraño o de donde vino, la preocupación y el pánico se extendió entre la gente. Pero a medida que pasaba el tiempo esta ocurrencia pasó de rareza a la atracción turística. En poco tiempo, el mundo perdió el interés por completo, y el plato permaneció casi olvidado en el cielo. Ahora, ex residente Nonoka Komiya regresa a la pequeña ciudad después de siete años en Tokio. Con sólo vagos recuerdos de su tiempo en la ciudad, la aparición de una niña vivaz llamado Noel hace Nonoka recordar lentamente deseos ella y cuatro de sus amigos hechos en un antiguo observatorio.

It took me (**checks MAL**) 486 days to force myself through this series. I have not watched the OVA. I don't need an extra 11 minutes† to know that I don't care for this show. Allegedly it still has yet to be either renewed or cancelled, but I hope that Studio 3Hz will move on and leave this behind. It really shows that production values alone cannot make an anime good. The writing in Sora no Method just isn't there, and no amount of moe can hide that. Up next from Studio 3Hz is Dimension W, which will hopefully be better. (Yes, I'm way behind on anime.) † - *The OVA shows as 25 minutes because no metadata source that Trakt pulls in allows overriding episode duration. It's set at the show level, and that's what you get, period. It's too bad.*
Celestial Method marks the debut show for Studio 3Hz and will hopefully be overshadowed soon for something better the studio does. Apart from the actual content the show was well done. If there is one word that describes to show it would be: M E L O D R A M AAAAAAA. I mean what else can you expect from drama around little kids. They already pull that card with the first episode! The dynamics are weird and the saucer loli doesn't help that at all. The story is predictable and they are not even trying to spice up the slice of life. If it weren't for weekly episodes I would not have made it through this.
