While not one of the Apocalypse series’ best projects, it is an important subject that is often neglected. Any series about Stalin is going to be inherently tough to make because so many people have such polarizing (and often only semi-informed) views of his life and the USSR. I think this series fails to offer a very contextualized view of Russia or the time period.
