This show is the epitome of a guilty pleasure! Can be incredibly corny at times but it is the Hallmark Channel! Each season gets better in quality and I love watching the relationships develop
- particularly between Cassie and Sam.
Now I just need to watch the TV movies, woops :)
I just finished watching all 7 seasons with my wife. We really enjoyed it! It's filled with positive energy, beautiful landscapes, and excellent cast. Only thing we didn't like so much is they just had to please the LGBT community, and they added a lesbian couple in the last season. Well, even Hallmark had to please them. Now, we started to watch all the tv films, they start back to 2008, so we will still have plenty of Middleton in our lives for some time to come..
This show is a definite guilty pleasure. Since it airs Sunday nights, I usually record and watch sometime during the week but it's perfect for just sitting down and having an hour to yourself. There are a lot of things that don't always add up
(like how Cassie stays in business for one thing...)
yet it's charming, and funny and reminds you not to take everything so seriously - even if it is just for that moment.
Their cast and crew are filled with straight white people, even every guest stars are straight and white. The only random characters they have added are an African American delivery guy and an Indian girl who visited Cassie's store, with a couple of Asians in the background. Oh not a single LGBT character either, as expected. I guess this show is made for White Christians. Ironically they have a witch wondering around helping out people in Middleton.
