Cuando Daikichi regresa a casa para el funeral de su abuelo, se encuentra con una niña desconocida en el jardín. Después su madre le explica que es la hija ilegitima de su abuelo. This anime is really heartwarming and beautiful. Recommend any person out there to watch it.
This is a beautiful anime. This is not an anime about people with superpowers, awesome mecha robots or ninjas with legendary swords. No, this is an anime about real life. The life of thirty-something bachelor Daikichi and a young six year old girl named Rin. These episodes are as normal and close to real life as they can be. And that is what is so beautiful about it. It shows you what it would be like to be a parent of someone who still has a lot of questions about everything around her and is still naive about the world. I can definitely recommend this anime to anyone. Especially people who are thinking about having kids should see this one. Usagi Drop gives an unique perspective of that of parenthood.
An Unique and Beautiful anime. The Story and Animation Style make this anime very special. Definitely one to watch. I am definitely going to read the manga (10 Volumes) for the rest of the story.

I loved the anime very much but I googled the anime and inevitably found out about the ending of the manga that this series was based off of... and even while trying to think of these as two different stories I don't think I can watch this again because the knowledge of what the author has done to these beloved characters has tainted the wholesomeness/purity of the story. That being said, I probably won't recommend this to anyone in the future or list it as a favorite anime to protect others from the emotional damaged done to me by the mangaka.
