I finished it in 2 days and it was absolutely super. Its atmosphere was very appropriate for the anime. Its characters and setting are harmonically related. The story itself was promising. I doubted that they would screw up the final episodes but fortunately they did it. Its dark and pessimistic atmosphere attract you. Additionally, if you've noticed this atmosphere disappears with the resolution of the events.

well... I'm not really difficult, but the story in itself was quite weak... The beginning is not that bad, but I really hated the ending : everything is unnatural, messy and poor. This is not really a spoiler but [spoiler] spending more than an hour in a burning (wooden) house without even caring is what I would call a terrible realisation... [/spoiler] In the end ? If you like thriller-like stories with a bit to think about (but really not much) and you don't search for something else, you can give it a try, but this was a waste of my time.

12 episodes have never felt this long. For the simplistic mystery that it is at it's core (they added a ton of unnecessary fluff), this should've been a 90 minute tops movie. A tighter story and pacing would've really helped this, it was too long, stretched out, slow and I lost interest in the second half. I never found it scary but it sure was creepy, dark and atmospheric. The doll shop and the conversations in that shop were especially creepy and probably my favorite part of this whole thing. Very dialogue driven throughout and well-written in that manner. The characters are interesting, especially the eyepatch girl. Solid creepy score. The few kills that we got were awesome, the umbrella one being my favorite. The animation isn't anything special but it more than does the job. I would only recommend this to someone who's new to the horror genre, for someone who's seen everything this was mostly basic.

This took me by surprise...literally, this is my first horror anime show and I'm not a big horror freak so this worked really well for me. It was does a really good job at blending mystery, tension and supernatural elements altogether to weave a rather horrific storyline that will probably traumatize for the rest of my life. Yes this might not be true for everyone but I am so weak when it comes to characters dying left and right, specially kids and women...and there are so many school girls here 😭. Don't take it the wrong way smh. Also I dont think that's a spoiler it's a horror anime in a school premise tf do you expect. Anyway, I absolutely LOVED the premise of the show, it was dark unsettling, set in a small village and the story basically revolves around a curse, the whole setting of the show with that eerie atmosphere and the ost completely sold it for me. it creates such an ominous environment, the background amplifies that further with detail and the use of sound was peak. [spoiler]The characters perfectly with the setting but I do feel like some times the deaths of the characters were just shrugged off too early, like they are school students aren't they suppose to go nuts? It does eventually happen but it's far too late in the series for it to have a big impact on me, but I still loved the characters like I said earlier curse me for getting emotionally attracted to them.[/spoiler] While I do agree that the show despite it's good plot and story has some pretty downs too, it'll definitely linger around my head for quiet sometime, it does have consistency issues, while I did like the ending I would've loved for a better conclusion...as in [spoiler]if the characters found a way to stop the curse once and for all or even the twist at the end of who the real dead one was? it was cool but was still a bit underwhelming.[/spoiler] A show with a lot of flaws and lows but I love the highs it had...sometimes the show peaks like you're in a rooftop but then in the middle the show gets quiet weak like a falling elevator...

Great plot with a perfect atmosphere. It was more of a Thriller than a Horror and Each episode kept me on the edge. Though as the story progresses this atmosphere starts fading little by little and it became more like "Who is going to die next?". Overall it was perfect for 12 episodes. Definitely recommended to watch!
