Mike and Ming are the only ones I like because they're actually nice. Mike really seems to know his stuff comics wise. Walt just comes across as kind of rude. I totally lost respect for him when he made the assumption out loud that "girls don't read zombie comic books". THIS girl DOES. I love comic books too, I grew up on them and love them still and it just kind of irked me that kind of assumption that women don't read comic books. Granted it's a reality show and I'm sure plenty was edited, but he still said it and I still found it rude. Bryan has moments of nice mixed with being kind of mean.
At the time of writing this, I have watched Comic Book Men four times. That's seven seasons, front to back, four times. This is my favorite television show, and after reading the other "reviews" here, I needed to give this a proper review, because some of you people need help, like seriously, talk to a professional. What is Comic Book Men? Well, if you know director Kevin Smith - best known for the indie-comedy classic _Clerks_ (1994) - then you recognize he is a huge fan of comic books, so much so that he owns a comic-book store. Well, this is a show about that store. Does Kevin work there? Well, no. The store - The Secret Stash - is home to our fantastic four: Walt, the brains; Mike, the soul; Ming, the heart, and Bryan... uhm, the... ass, I guess. Each member of the group really has their own personality, so it's easy to have a favorite or identify more or less with any one of them. The episodes all follow the same structure: We open with Kevin, and our four while making their podcast. The stage then shifts to the Stash where the four will have goofy conversations, items are bought and sold, there are celebrity appearances, a good time is had by all. I highly recommend this show to anyone who likes comic books or geek culture in general. This is a reality show, but don't let that stop you. The reason I have watched it more than any other show, is because it's less like watching and show and more like spending time with a group of friends.
