Koby and Helmeppo: This is only two episodes, and it serves to develope Koby and Helmeppo's relationship as well as introduce a new character: Garp. All in all it was pretty decent, but I feel like it could be a little shorter. I also question why this was not done as a flashback in Post Enies Lobby since it does not really matter until then. Arc rating: 7/10
Little Garden: This arc was only OK to me. I get the impression a lot of people like this arc, but I didn't really get into it that much. On a surface level, the giants could be interesting, and I do want to know more about where they came from. The problem for me, is that the show really wants to portray these giants as honorable because they have been fighting their duel for 100 years. At first I thought that was cool, but then they say they have forgotten why they were fighting. That is no longer honorable, that is just stubborness. But the show really insists that this is really honorable, and I really didn't get it. It becomes even worse when we learn the reason, because that is the least honorable thing to fight over. I would not have minded that much, had they not been fighting for that long, but wasting 100 years of their life on this silly thing, and calling it honorable is just sad to me. That is a big part of thei lives. I know giants live longer than humans, but 100 years is still a big part of their life. We also get to meet mr. 3 and his partner. They were really uninteresting, and when mr. 3 returnes later in the show, I did not recognize him. With all that said, the arc is fairly entertaining, so it is not the worst. Arc rating: 6/10
Reverse Mountain: This arc was really short, and didn't contribute much to the overall story until much later in the story. I wish there would have been more relevance to the story now, because as is I only thought it was OK. The story of Laboon didn't really sway me as much as it probably should have, and I was constantly questioning why this arc existed. We found out why in Thriller Bark, but that is a long time to wait. All in all, I thought it was OK. Arc rating: 6/10
