Of course turning the series' POV to Lestat would be THIS chaotic (complimentary), with exhilarating time-slippery storytelling that takes its cue from him being under influence. I already find it delightful in last season's finale when these ancient vampires started to interact with modern stuff, and it's such a kick here to see Sam Reid wraps his usual ancient verbal cadence of contempt now updated for contemporary world. Also delicious is his disdain for a lot of stuff Louis told Daniel in the first two seasons (like the sequence when he found out about the book).
A really good first episode, I just hope we get into more of the content of the _The Vampire Lestat_ book as it sort of feels like we're skipping to _Queen of the Damned_, which I love that book but this would be the first time we actually got to see _The Vampire Lestat_ in a visual medium. So I'm a bit nervous we won't from what I've seen so far.
YouTube TV is not listing this show as Interview with the Vampire. It was not in my scheduled recordings. I did a search for Vampire Lestat and was able to add it to my list for recording.
i love the juxtaposition of Lestat 's pov being chaotic and Louis' pov being calm. it's a great introduction for what's undoubtedly gonna be an entertaining season! i love it already
An uninterrupted stream of consciousness is not enough to make an episode. The first episode better not be how the rest of the show will play out.
