Sinopsis

The world building is good and this could have been a great story, but this is bad. I know that the protagonist is a reincarnated man, but it gets really annoying when everyone is amazed at his thought processes every single time. You'd think they'd get used to it after a while, but they're always like 'wow, amazing, wonderful', over the top reactions. Protagonist is also a Gary Stue who can do no wrong, is OP from birth, and has ancient treasures that he masters within seconds after just 'coincidentally' finding them, three in a row in episode 2 alone. What broke reality was that the dude is 6 years old, but he beats the greatest knight in the kingdom in a sword fight even though he has never practiced swordsmanship - it's explained as 'memories of all the past users of the sword flowing into him'. I understand how that would explain tactics, but not physical strength. Give me a break.

Noble Reincarnation anime adaptation is currently better in story telling quality compared to it's closest competition The Easygoing Defense..., IMHO. Woth the same premise Isekai in kingdom world, Noble Reincarnation chose the path of head-butting all the problems head-on with sword or strategic politic/war approaches. We're talking about future king type of main character is the Noble Reincarnation. Not the funny, pretending to be dumb other prince. Noble Reincarnation is sleeper hit and I can't wait to see the 2nd season progressing.

Really?! I don’t even understand why this needed to be an isekai. The reincarnation aspect adds absolutely nothing. Noa does not use any knowledge from his past life, which makes the whole isekai premise feel completely unnecessary to the plot. I’m reading the manga, and I’m up to date, and it doesn’t get any better… Also, he is not smart or amazing. Instead of presenting a clever protagonist, the narrative just dumbs down everyone around him. The supporting cast seems to share about two collective neurons just to make Noa look like a tactical genius by comparison. The story clearly wants to make him look like the best thing in the kingdom, but it relies entirely on plot armor. There is absolutely no struggle, no tension, and zero learning involved in his rise to power - just a ring here and another shiny object there that conveniently give him more stats. He doesn’t even use the new powers that often. It’s an unearned victory every single time… This is probably going to be the worst anime of the year and certainly the worst of the season.

A predictably sub-par isekai which builds the foundation for an interesting story—an aging emperor with more than a dozen squabbling sons who vie to inherit the throne through their control of various government agencies—and completely squanders it. The main character is not particularly intelligent or innately powerful, instead he uses artifacts possessed by strong spirits which bend to his will for inexplicable reasons. The animation is also very low quality, composed mostly of stills, and the character designs are bland and forgettable.

Man, I enjoyed the hell out of this! I thought it was fantastic, but it's definitely not going to be for everyone....you need to love OP MC's. The story, artwork, and animation were all well above average. There were only a few areas that I found lacking. The reincarnation aspect was super frustrating, because you don't know why he's so good at absolutely everything. He has an answer for everything which we're led to assume is related to his past life, but we have no idea who he was in his past life. This could be rectified by another season though, because they've given a hint at who he may have been. I'm thinking he's the reincarnation of
the man who originally tamed the 4 sages
. If they are working towards that, I'm giving this show a point back, and bumping it up to a 9. The other issue for me was the characters, there are so many people in this show! I had trouble even keeping all of the Prince's names in my mind. I'm not necessarily knocking a point for that, but combined with the fact that we don't get enough backstory on some of the ancillary characters, it totaled up to another point deduction for me. Some great displays of magic and an always calm, cool, collected, and powerful MC pushed this into the top tier for me....I can't wait for another season.
