close enough WELCOME BACK DEVILMAN CRYBABY
It was 5 min episodes. I dont know how much back story and plot people were expecting. They'll criticize this and then rave about some rp prn type anime. Anyway. There was a decent situation plot and decent enough characters and chemistry for me to be hooked from the very beginning. I wasn't looking for star wars world building like some of these reviews I guess. This is a story about a vampire who's watched everything he ever cared about die and a young "dumb blonde" type who has an innocent and naive crush on said vampire. That was the plot. Each and every interaction was compelling. I was on the edge on my seat, making sounds and wondering what happens next. Each time you enter a new world you have to abide by the psyche and rules of its creator. Some people I guess cant do that or just didnt like the difference in art style. One more thing. That sex scene... man. I never have seen anything like it. It was so intense I blushed. I will never enjoy anything like that in my life again. Ugh.
Cute(?), gay vampire series with a runtime of ~1hr. Plot was nice and I felt somewhat for the characters (which isn't that typical for me) No sex until the end, this is a more plot-focused series, which I personally like. Off topic but I feel like quibi wishes it could've done this? I watched it all in one sitting but it seemed like the 5min chunks weren't hemorrhaging the feel/flow of the series
someone needs to tell the creators of this that you dont NEED to have a plot. the whole thing is a 4/10 but the last episode is a feast for your eyes and my jaw is on the floor
