The show is entertaining enough to keep watching. But, am I the only one annoyed that Colter keeps touching everything without gloves, therefore putting his prints/DNA all over the place?!
I love how the cases in this show are so varied. Yes; he’s always tracking something or other, but sometimes it’s pretty straight forward, and sometimes they get themselves into deep, unexpected shit. Love the characters and their psychological profiles. It’s smart, and well written. The only thing I don’t love, is the Casanova shtick we’ve got going on here and there. It lessens / stops after a few episodes luckily. Making Colter look like this wild mustang / girl-magnet lone wolf isn’t really doing the show a favour. Neither was the way Reenie was introduced in any way natural. It seemed forced. Their further character development on the other hand seemed much more well paced.
I really hate that the networks (or Netflix, Amazon…) take the basic idea like a character and cook new stories with them although the books they are based on are basically so much better. I know the first three books with Colter and they all are much better suited for a season spanning arc tv series than the crap they did here. Reacher does a much better job!! Just take ANY Jefferey Deaver novel out of all his book series and make a tv show. I hate it that they fucked up Lincoln Rhymes two times now - though the Denzel movie got a lot better after the tv show ;-)
After episode 8 we stopped watching this show. To boring.
I definitely enjoyed the first few episodes. All the elements have been seen elsewhere (Reacher, McGyver, Boney, Nothern Exposure etc) but it was combined in a nice wholesome way which made it enjoyable enough. The trouble is, I though it got repetitive really quickly But i reckon it is worthwhile watching a couple of episodes and checking it out for yourself. Worst case scenario you will find you enjoy one of two episodes. Enjoy
