This is by far the worst example of original drama i have ever witnessed on HBO...the big name actors only emphasize the lack of substance and immagination present or not present in this show. I should have stopped watching three episodes ago but i convinced myself there must be something redeeming or hidden that i was missing. When you get to that point and...still only disappointment. Premise, plot, and especially the depravity, acting is a mediocre semi reality. This show is the equivelent of the deviant public restroom sex happening in small town America every day and it isn't pretty and it isn't normal. Please GFY HBO.
One of the best shows I've seen lately. The acting is just so good. It's getting review-bombed by some very prudish conservatives who totally miss the point.
Oh and thanks for making a show that actually makes Jason Bateman unlikeable. Was that the point? Still just a load of crap...damn what a waste of time.
Down to...what in the f*ck? I honestly wasn't expecting any of this. I wasn't expecting a detective spin, nor was I expecting a gut-wrenchingly intimate yet comedic approach to love, sex, mental health, masculinity, and friendship. Oh, and I definitely wasn't expecting to cry. The premise is simple but powerful and extremely relevant, given the ever-growing epidemic of male loneliness. Brilliant performances, especially from Harbour. Phenomenal writing, although more so in the journey than in the mystery or conclusion. Great directing and a decent soundtrack. Another hit from HBO.
