> Not Sassy but Bipolar Insecure Princess Lighthearted , very forward romance with FL chasing after ML & then him reciprocating romance but there are parts of story where they go back & forth due to palace politics but at the end happily married to the sassy princess. I liked for a change the writer actually dared to have some explicit romance ; the snickering , bickering , biting all sorts of tricks that would pull you in as a viewer and be jealous of their love. A female lead that constantly wants to flirt with the male lead & without that annoying baby voice. There is a secondary couple who i didnt bother with because there is jealous prince behind them so wasn't expecting any good outcome [spoiler] but turned out for a change the heroine can be rescued by hero for their happily after [/spoiler] Xu Shijin was the main MVP the loyal friend with brains to the operation and she deserved it ate all crown princes for breakfast & lunch . I loved the three Dukes Shen , Xu & Ding Bei ... they are very supportive of their children and grandchildren... especially the scense where Duke's Shen & Xu outsmarted the prince for letting their children elope as vagabonds. The most despicable person of the show is Prince Guang Ping ; he regretted things but has gone too far ..ambitions over family [spoiler] dude dared to fake-assassinate Shen Yan & Ling at his wifes grave on the anniversary ; pushed blame on his kid for his wife's suspicious death ignored her over the Hoe Lu for money for weapons & soldiers [/spoiler] The most petty person was the prince [spoiler] tried to kill Xu Shijin because she wanted to retire and not be his concubine [/spoiler] Also this isn't a just romance show ; the fight scenes are incredibly done better than most wuxia except the ending war might have run out of budget and the palace politics are also decent but there is no cast except for crown prince and a eunuch that actually appear.
