I love snake shows likes Snakes in the City, in this one Nigel is very informative but the “captures” are so obviously set up it’s cringeworthy. I’m not sure if he simply intends to show off the snakes in their natural environments or if he expects us to believe he’s really going out and spontaneously finding them in the wild. There are some real captures, I admit, but when there’s an establishing shot and he’s walking while narrating to the camera and then somehow the snake is found between him and the camera, just laying placidly ready for him to snap up and continue his dialog.. then it’s smells like B.S.
