It's getting way better after first few episodes
It's insane that a modern show actually managed to tell a coherent story in a single season and ended it without trying to milk it for more seasons. It's a slower burn, but the last few episodes are good. I think the ending was decent as well. About 75% of the show is about personal relationships, choices, and discussing regrets or feelings then 25% sci-fi stuff/action.
A show that went from 10 to 100 in 4 episodes! Fantastic, be patient and go through the first episodes you will be greatly rewarded. Please do not give a second season, don’t ruin it. Leave it and it will become a sci-fi classic.
