Any grace that you felt you could extend to the likes of Roman Polanski, Bill Cosby, and sadly, according to this, even the great Jim Brown, will be erased after watching this documentary. And anyone who still admires Hugh Hefner, or the Playboy lifestyle myth after viewing these episodes clearly has no heart or conscience.
An empowering social commentary which highlights the real behind the scenes mechanisms of Playboy. The Public Persona vs the Reality. Behind the curtain was far darker than the illusion Hefner wanted everyone to believe. It was all a perfectly orchestrated charade to lure young women into his web of lies, sex & debauchery. These women are brave, strong & finally empowered thanks to the current movement of MeToo to find their voices, and it’s not a day to soon! Kudos! Excellent documentary shot in a clear & concise way with a range of different views and guests varying over a long period of time and covering a range of different facets of the Playboy Business & Brand to give the series great depth & credibility. A masterclass in how a documentary can be classy, refined and still get it’s point across. Excellent viewing.
After watching this I can’t believe that I idolized the girls lifestyle when I was young and wanted this. I was so close to going to an open casting call for playboy when I was straight outta high school. Makes me so happy I never did and makes me feel so bad for the ladies that had to live through this trauma.
Couldnt care less about these accusation's,it was still every teenage boys dream to be hefner.
