So the wires don't go anywhere. That pretty much means this whole town is fabricated, a facade. If the town was pre-existing, and the creatures just took over, then the wires would go to some sort of real power station. Since they are fake, the whole town must be as well. I don't know what that means in the greater mythology, but it's a clue none the less.

I get sucked into watching these type of shows cause I love twilight zone type of stuff. The unfortunate thing is, what the Twilight Zone could do in 21 minutes, they will take at least 20 episodes to complete. It's already getting so watered down that the writers really have no idea how to end this. The other problem with these shows is that they may plan on doing a 3rd season ( please don't ), then they get cancelled when they see the reviews and we never get an answer. That's my prediction anyway.
