Jessie quits her job at the newspaper after she finds out another photographer is making more money then she is, because he is related to her boss. Kris meets her penpal Valerie whom she thought was a girl but isn't, she isn't thrilled at first but when he visits her, he makes her realize that she didn't tell him she was a girl.

Kris runs for student council with the help of a guy named Willie whom she just started talking to.
