A shark adventure thriller that predates *Jaws*. It's entertaining at least but the story and characters did not hold my attention for long. There's a few shark sequences but they aren't even the focus or the most interesting aspect here, it's our characters getting attacked by pirates. Created some interesting dynamics but it's all surface level (pun unintended). The underwater shots look great, the shark action is probably documentary footage so it's all real, and the score is effective and a little weird. Didn't really like where it went in the third act, should've been a one location movie. Also, i've never seen so many speedos in a movie!
