[Sheffield/Doc '22] It's not only a chronicle of the last leader of the Gavião tribe, but above all an excellent reconstruction of memory about the consequences of contact with the white man. Vincent Carelli doesn't address genocide or direct violence, but the disintegration of the indigenous culture through cultural colonization, another form of violence that is more subtle, but ends up being much more destructive.
