Sinopsis
Ignacio (Jack Black) es un luchador gordo con un socio de equipo. Su madre era una misionera de Escandinavia y su padre era diácono de México. Murieron cuando Ignacio era pequeño. Creciendo como huérfano en un monasterio mexicano se convirtió en el cocinero del orfanato. Ignacio soñaba con convertirse en un luchador, pero la prohibición de la lucha en el monasterio no se lo permitía. Como en el orfanato la comida era escasa, a Nacho se le ocurrió un plan para conseguir el dinero para los huérfanos, ir a competir en la lucha libre, pero debe tener cuidado con la hermana Encarnación (Ana de la Reguera) con quien tiene mucho en común. Ignacio decide finalmente ser un luchador.

I absolutely loved this movie. It was really funny and it had it's sad times. Definetely a solid 9/10

Not as fun as I expected it to be. 'Nacho Libre' does do some things well, Jack Black is good and the wrestling scenes are mostly nicely done. However, I didn't really dig the rest of it - whether it be the laughter lacking humour, or the uninteresting story with the orphanage. It is at least a relatively short flick, but it isn't one I'd be in a rush to rewatch.
