Men allowed to be sensitive and sensual after fulfilling the macho manly tribal rituals of unification, depersonalisation and subjugation. The environment of sand and stone. Clean cut uniforms. Mysterious traditions and even appliances and machinery. A clear separation of the inside and the outside world. A universe stripped of all complexity.
