No animals were harmed during the making of the movie - according to the end credits. Try telling that to the cat who was manhandled and quite clearly drugged! Yes, the scene was there for plot purposes, but a more talented filmmaker would have found a better way to manage it. This wasn't the only problem I had with the movie. It's as grey as the sea itself, with wooden and hysterical performances, and a drawn-out narrative that bores rather than disturbs.
