For me, best Pixar picture :)

"Cars" is a predictably nice story about a hotshot race car that learns a lesson in humility and respect for others. The "Lightning McQueen" character is not the most likable, that honor belongs to the sidekick redneck truck named "Mater". The Ferrari-loving Luigi and Guido are scene-stealers, too. The best thing about this movie is the fantastic animation and how they used actual car makes and models. Porsches, Dodges, VWs, even Hudsons were represented. The scenery was very well done and the small town of Radiator Springs was '50s retro. Watch this for the detail of the animation and let the run-of-the-mill story ride along in the back seat.
