Red Dead Redemption 2: The Movie

Wow, found this movie in YouTube and was really surprised! I had never seen a Corbucci film until now... It seems that every Italian director named Sergio (Sergio Leone, Sergio Sollima and Sergio Corbucci) knows how to do a western!

A chilling, snow drenched western that hit me harder than I expected The atmosphere is immaculate and the tension never loosens its grip And that ending 😮 I was absolutely speechless 😶

The Great Silence is made in part due to Sergio Corbucci seeing much chaos going on in 1968 and rather different from his other films. I really do love the winter setting for a spaghetti western film which I barely even see. The score done by Ennio Morricone is as amazing as expected, the location filmed is also amazing combined with great cinematography. The final climax is pretty good but also pretty brutal which would’ve been rather shocking if people were to watch this back then. The Great Silence owes much to Quentin Tarantino being inspired to make Django Unchained and Hateful Eight.

There's something about a western set in snow which makes it hit even harder.
