Gator Bait is far better than it has any right to be. Hicksploitation is not my favorite sub-genre, but in this one...it works. That might also have something to do with the lovely Claudia Jennings...just saying. For a 70's exploitation flick, Gator Bait has a few things going for it. There are great looking locations that do their part to keep the mood and the suspense at a reasonably high level, the acting performances are decent enough for such a low-budget outing, and did I mention that Claudia Jennings was in it? Gator Bait is not great art by any means, but for those of us that enjoy exploitation movies, it's fun and a nice view (pun intended).
