Many of the scenes in this movie are pointless and feature fighting/violence just for the sake of it. I had to turn it off. For example, scenes where Justice League members don't notice the person they are fighting is using Green Ring power and they fight too long before realizing it's a Green Lantern.

It had its moments, but overall, an mediocre experience.

On the one hand it was nice to FINALLY get a adaptation of John Stewarts story, on the other he deserved better than this rote, by-the-numbers, surface retelling of his origin. I hope whenever we get a live action version of this, they can pull together something much more engaging.

It doesn’t follow any specific lore from the comics and it takes bits a pieces from different Green Lantern stories to put them together here but overall it’s still a fun movie.

As a Green Lantern fan I was left feeling it was just ok. Don't get me wrong though, it has great action and I'm very glad my fav. GL finally is the main character of a movie. But unfortunately they ended up trying to cram material from 4 different storylines into 1 single film, which in my opinion left the story suffering from pacing issues and I imagine it's kinda hard to have good dialogue and character development when you try to have elements from so many different stories in one package. I actually believe that this would have been much better as a two-parter, because the finale we got here is kinda like 'what if Harry Potter got rid of Voldemort in the very first book?'. Last thing I have to say is I wasn't a big fan of John Stewart's voice actor, he just sounded so flat and bored most of the time.
