Love this movie so much ❤
Premise - 12/20 - The "grass is always greener" trope has been done numerous times. I like it, but it's not special. Cast/characters - 17/20 - I watched it for the actors, not the premise. I love Michelle Williams, and I loved her in this. Equal parts insecure and adolescent, she was hard to love. The character was just very well done. Seth Rogen was more serious than I'm used to seeing, and Luke Kirby was great in his role. Story - 16/20 - I was never sure how the story was going to go. Will she? Won't she? Then what? All answered, and answered effectively. The ending was not necessarily pleasant, and it shouldn't have been. Dialogue - 16/20 - The conversations between Williams and Kirby were wonderful. The ones between Williams and Rogen were cringey. They all helped develop the characters. World-building - 12/20 - I got sucked into their world fairly quickly, and I didn't want to turn it off. 73/100 - 3.5/5 stars. I'd watch it again, but I'm not going to recommend it. I'll watch it for Michelle Williams, but I'd rather just tell the story to others than beg them to watch it.

One of the best movies I've ever watched. I can unfortunately relate to what happened to Lou. Here is a great article about the movie, read it after you've watched the movie of course https://mubi.com/notebook/posts/take-this-waltz-then-move-on-breakups-in-the-age-of-selfish#comment-171450
Another fantastic effort from Sarah Polley. I don't know how she managed to take a tired genre (I was on guard at the beginning) and make it feel knew and fresh but she did it. https://IHateBadMovies.com
