There is more clarity about the current prison system in the USA in this chronicle of the Attica prison uprising in 1971 than in other documentaries. The contempt, racism, and violence shown by Governor Rockefeller and President Nixon toward the largely black rebel prisoners (but also toward their largely white hostages) is significant. Fortunately, the survivors can tell the truth in this revealing film.
