Led Zeppelin likes to smell their own farts. This sanctioned by the band documentary is quite possibly one of the worst music docs I’ve seen. Hardly any substance, terribly edited, 50 percent of the movie is just songs being played at full length. I wanted to learn things, I would of loved to hear from other people. Also hiding away all the drugs, women, and fame aspect of rock n roll the achieved is so lame. SKIP and wait for a proper documentary

The venom and vitriol from the reviews here are a bit harsh. I guess some people wanted a super hard hitting and explosive exposé, but this isn't that and doesn't need to be. I agree that this is a puff piece, but was worth the price of admission for the footage alone.

An excellent biopic/documentary about one of the greatest, most iconic and influential bands of all time. While I always liked some songs of Led Zeppelin, this movie brought the band closer to me and gave me a better understanding of their music. It is certainly not overly critical and does also not go into every detail of their development and personalities. It feels rather very personal, positive and focusses on the music which is, in the end, what still makes them icons and will for a long time to come. The movie takes the time to fully play several songs, thus allowing you to fully discover and/or appreciate their genius riffs, drumming and vocals. While it is a must for fans, it is also excellent for people wanting to discover the band. Just what I expect of a music biopic.

The entire documentary feels like a two parter. Becoming Led Zeppelin covers from the Yardbirds all the way to release of Led Zeppelin II, since it abruptly ends there, disappointing didn’t go way to untitled forth album or even Physical Graffiti album unless they make a second part focus on those. Also rather heartwarming to hear some of rare John Bonham archived interviews given he been dead for more than 40 years now.
