Like an unmarried woman beauty pageant contestant longing for the bullseye she didn't hit after arriving too late for her train, Three Nights a Week is a Miss Miss missing a miss post missed flight...or a series of Misses. The main miss this film scored was it's decision to focus the story on the middle class cis bi French yt who passively plays victim to the circumstances encircling him rather than making the movie about the charismatic, beautiful, captivating drag queen Cookie Kunty and her struggles both on and off the stage. The reason for this missed opportunity is that the movie is basically thinly disguised autobiography and the director thinks he's the main character in his universe so he should be in ours as well. Who's gonna tell him? Three Nights... has its heart in the right place and shows a great deal of respect to the drag community, but you should be watching Port Authority (2019) instead.
